June 8: The Ordinary In Extra-Ordinary
When you take a trip for 19 days and go wherever, then you will encounter a need to do laundry. Our cute, little condo has a washing machine...and then a rack out on our little veranda to hang dry. I realized that I take my dryer for granted. I mean, here it is the norm to wash and then hang dry.
I gained an appreciation for the planning involved in this today. Before you think...what a wimp...work with me here! Drying time is longer where there is humidity - check. Have a lot of clothing to wash with three people - check. All day activity.
The blessing....just look at these pictures! I get to hang out at this beautiful pool for another day of relaxation. Splendid!
My scripture for the part of the day spent doing laundry? Galatians 6:8-10, " For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."
Sometimes I get tired of doing the right thing, you know? Do you? This scripture is a good reminder and motivator to me during these times! So, I persevered with the laundry, and watching it dry so that it would not grow legs and walk away. Then, I went on a bike ride to reward myself. I recorded part of it and want to share with you my bike tour video of Denia, Spain. Enjoy!
